The Search Box in XpandedReports allows you to quickly and easily find data:
- Select columns that correspond to data on the QuickBooks form;
- And/or select columns from the QuickBooks list (columns with a
period come from the list) ;
- Total control over the data that is included on the report.
Examples of adding data to a detail report
Bill To Address: Form versus List
Here is an example to show the difference between what is available
in QuickBooks versus XpandedReports for the bill to address.
From QuickBooks:

From XpandedReports:
Item Sales Tax Added to a Sales Report

With XpandedReports, item level sales tax can be inserted on a sales
report. This is extremely powerful due to the ability to review the
sales tax being charged on a report as well as the ability to create a
report which agrees to the total amount of the sales transaction. This
type of data is simply not available in QuickBooks reports.
First you add the additional data to the report:
Then this information is available on the report. From here the data
can be used in calculated columns, re-sorted, subtotaled, etc.
Adding Data to Pivot/Summary Reports
Click on Modify Report, on the Display tab place a check mark in
front of the data you wish to include and click OK. This information
will be available on the Field List to be included in the report.
In addition to including data, the Field List also includes the dates
already detailed for you.

Payroll Information Limitation
Payroll information can be included on some reports. For example,
the job costing reports include the payroll information assigned to a
specific job, the time reports can include the employee wage
information, etc.
Due to limitations in the interface with QuickBooks, XpandedReports
cannot access all payroll transaction information from QuickBooks.
Budget Information Limitation
Due to the limitations of the interface with QuickBooks,
XpandedReports cannot access financial statement budget information from QuickBooks.
Note that this is the option when entering the budget from Company > Set Up Budgets (and forecasts in Premier and Enterprise Solutions). It is possible to report on Estimates, however, which is what many company calls the "Job Budget."
