Web connection setupOn start-up, XpandedReports connects to internet to verify the license.
If XpandedReports cannot connect to internet the verification will
fail, and the following image will be displayed. Firewall settings
The
Windows Firewall may be blocking
XpandedReports/Java from accessing the Internet. If the Windows
Firewall
is the problem, the Firewall configuration must be adjusted to allow
XpandedReports/Java Internet access. Firewall configurations are
under Windows Security Center. The connection
issues will be associated with
Java as shown in the image below. (click image to enlarge)
Proxy settings
In some cases people access the Internet indirectly via a Proxy Server. To configure XpandedReports to use a proxy, click on the Proxy settings button which will display screen shown below. Choose between No Proxy, Auto-detect (which will read the clients IE proxy settings), or enter the proxy setting manually. (click image to
